Created from a silkscreen print, it is simplicity is supposed to attract attention and immediately convey the message that friendship is good. The statistics have no clear sex or race, which usually puts forwards the communication that companionship is for anyone and everyone. In contrast, Mombassa’s interpretation with the biblical landscape of “The Temptation” is highly detailed with strong shades, and delivers many complicated messages.

The obvious message is today’s temptation of material items, represented by toaster, and the violence and crime for solving society’s problems, which can be represented by the gun. This kind of ‘Garden of Eden’ is placed in Australia’s outback, displaying that Mombassa’s main effect is Aussie society. Therefore Haring has left the fiar to decide what race and sex the figures happen to be, reinforcing the purpose that these elements are not essential when choosing your buddies. This is compared to Mombassa’s thorough image of a well known biblical picture, using good colours and a slightly even more realistic general picture.
