2. GENERAL CONCEPTS The essay talks about not only to the continuous corruption from the government as well as the ruthlessness of the friars towards the Filipinos yet also to the irresponsibility in the Filipino to work, benefits and believability. Those fluctuating traits lead to mental stagnation that hinders not simply one but all citizens from reaching social and political rights. He look for this motif in his exploration of the Filipino’s lack of national sentiment.

The absence of virtually any concern for the nation, he admits that, “breeds an additional evil, which can be the scarcity of any opposition towards the measures which might be prejudicial to folks and the absence of any effort that will influence to their welfare. A man in the Philippines is only an individual; he’s not a part of a nation. ” High is no perception of land, there can be no collective aiming to develop the country. He specifically pointed out the possible lack of cooperation and awareness of the Filipinos to the present situation with the country and exactly how the government took away the eyes and ears of its people through its deceiving and countless assurance that resulted for the masses’ remorse and destruction.

III. SIGNIFICANCE Through this kind of essay, there are a lot of significant lessons that can be used. Indeed, Filipinos has this indolence attitude if we change the focus to the social circumstance. Why perform Filipinos rarely follow basic traffic guidelines?

Why do we follow on disputes even though we know that it isn’t right? So why can’t all of us fall in collection in buying our favorite food? Perhaps this is what Rizal is trying to deal with to all of us.

In order to attain progress inside our country, it will start in basic things just before focusing on the complex ones. It made me realize that I as well should be accountable of my own actions and ensure that those actions will advantage not only myself as someone but the Philippine citizens generally speaking. This essay should be each of our guide to lead the country to its total progress and promote common good to our fellow countrymen.
