Obviously a similar basic thought and idea are prevalent throughout both stories. They are set in the future where most people are made similar by being forced to wear frustrations where they might show strength. Both of the stories entail the same personas in the same settings underneath mostly the same circumstances. The short film variation may vary a little bit in some of the details nevertheless for the most component both of the stories will be exactly the same. At the start of “2081” the lien of the account is exactly just like the beginning of Harrison Bergeron.
Chandler Tuttle took it word for word straight from the brief story. There are numerous differences between “Harrison Bergeron” and “2081” but they are typically small details and do not change the story much. The initial difference that we noticed while i watched “2081” was that rather than wearing carriers filled with business lead balls around their necks, the characters wore cutting-edge computer equipment with a blinking display with them.
The next delicate detail that we noticed was when George, one of the main heroes, heard a loud noise coming through his earpiece in the beginning, it was Hazel who had suggested that it had seemed like a milk bottle staying stuck by a ball peen hammer instead of George. One of the bigger variations between the two stories is a conversation among George and Hazel at the start of the history. In “Harrison Bergeron” when ever Hazel implies to George that this individual rest his handicap dumbbells on the cushions for a while, George responds simply by saying that this individual doesn’t head them as they has put on them intended for so long that he’s become accustomed to these people.
He then earnings to explain to Hazel that if he tried to escape with it then other people will try to get apart with it as well, and this would lead to everyone getting against the other person again and in the end to the darker ages. Hazel resounds that she would hate it if perhaps that were the case. However in the short film “2081” when Hazel suggests that George rest his weights for some time, George responds only suggesting that he himself probably would not be equal to Hazel to which she responds she would hate that. As well in the brief story Harrison is caught at age 14 and escapes at age 14 but in the short film the story takes place six years after Harrison was imprisoned.
The final key difference among “Harrison Bergeron” and “2081” is the “bomb”. In the video clip adaptation when Harrison goes out from prison and explodes into the entracte he claims that he has a bomb stored under the theater and the detonator in hand. When the H-G guys cut off the broadcast for the incident, Harrison presses the detonator switch, revealing towards the audience that the bomb was in fact a device that sent the television transmit once again. In the short history there is by no means any reference to any such system. There are many distinctions and many similarities between the brief story “Harrison Bergeron” as well as the short film “2081”.
However , during both tales the same idea remains prevalent throughout the whole stories offerring to the market the same message, showing the wonder and need for diversity.
