These jobs however usually do not reflect women’s status in society, nor do they reflect society’s beliefs about equality and gender functions. Women who hold executive positions still make less than guys (Glascock, 2001) do. Women are also viewed unfavorably if they act aggressively or forcefully, whereas men are applauded for their efforts. On television, girls are seen since actors, and actors exclusively.

Women who are empowered tend to be “dolled” up so that whilst they are strong or stimulated, they continue to are subject to the direction and fancies of their male counterparts. This trend is definitely evident on tv and in world. Feminist women would very much prefer women be provided equal possibilities and similar pay, and also regard, on tv and in real life. While television set attempts to model these kinds of aspirations, this falls short of its major objective.

Within just society, females are still unequal to men, even though they can be working to gain more strengthening positions.
