I chose “Autumn Leaves” by simply Stan Getz. In this variation of the song, only Lewis Getz is performing. In the original type of the song, it is by Joseph Kosma and the words of the tune are simply by Jacques Prevert (youtube. com). I chose this particular version in the song since I like just how soothing it is with Stan Getz and I feel like words of the tune may destroy the track as a whole. Stan Getz can be an amazing specialist and he’s popular for Bossa Volkswagen, but this song would not sound like that genre in any way. I was unsure of the type and blend progression in the song as it did not seem like the tracks we discovered in class, this did not sound like 16-bar type, for example. This school has absolutely given me a more appreciation of jazz music just by listening to more jazz. Obviously, I use listened to jazz before but I nonetheless did not really enjoy it as much as when I went to the live concert.
