Form

The Parthenon in Athens was constructed in the style of the Ancient Greek Doric order, even though the Temple of Apollo in Didyma was created in the Ionic order. This kind of differentiation was due to site and time frame, for example the Parthenon was constructed in mainland Greece between 447-438BC although the Serenidad of Apollo was built in 300BC in Asia minor. It has caused equally temples to show differences in design and kind. The Parthenon shows Doric properties, for example the columns happen to be thick and short and little adornment or depth is displayed on the capital. Due to the Forehead of Apollo showing Ionic properties, the columns are much thinner, they may have volutes (spiral scroll for the capital) plus the quantity of articles is much better. The Content on the Parthenon also stay straight on to the platform in the temple, the main reason for this is the thickness and height with the columns, however due to the Temple of Apollo having thin tall articles they need to lay on a rectangular base section.

This kind of shows that although both temples or wats are used being a religious monument the use of space is different, the main reason for this is the Parthenon offering an internal area for religious activities even though the serenidad of Apollo offers an exterior area.
