In “An Agony. As Now, inches the poet person is looking inside himself to look for answers. The poem reads as a item of literature that reveals the torment with the speaker. The poet is definitely experiencing anguish, among other things and, at times, we might even think he is beyond the brink of sanity. This mood is definitely captured with incomplete phrases and cumbersome line breaks. The poet person dissociates him self from the man in the reflection, which is our first idea that he might be volatile. It is not till later in the poem can we discover that the poet is definitely speaking to himself. His dialogue might seem feckless but he does by arrive at a conclusion after some evaluation. The audio talks to him self, realizing that this individual has deserted his spirit. He lives in hate and pain where “the brain / metallic spiraled whirled against the as well as sun, above even older guys thought as well as God would be” (Baraka 23-6). At this moment, we see which the poet can be attempting to determine the source of his soreness and hate in a universe that he does not figure out. The search is unpleasant in that it will require the poet on a journey that only delivers him back in pain. As the poet person looks for a solution, he simply sees guys with:
All their robes taken. Their containers empty. They chant inside my heels, not really at yours. ) Drag or spirit, as tainted. Where the answer moves too rapidly.
Where the God is a sef, after all. (33-7)
Here we see that the search only causes more discomfort and suffering because the poet person fails to find any peace of mind in the notion of God. The cycle of torment is definitely repeated as well as the poet will not reach any conclusions well worth noting, such as the final lines he admits that he has “no feeling” (42) and the appreciate given “burns the thing / inside it” (44-5). The poem proves with the poet left with not do yet scream.
