Social networking useful or dangerous essay

With the improvement in technology in a brief matter of time it has impacted the world in many ways such as how a world convey and our life styles. Among the many revolutionary inventions or evolutions is called social networking sites (SNS). Online communities such as Fb, Twitter, and many other, are where people accumulate in the internet, create a personalized profile about themselves, and interact with people around the world. With the insufficient parental supervision between the ages of 18 to seventeen, which makes one of largest demographics using online communities, these teenagers could be exposed to mature elements. Young teenagers between the ages of 14 to seventeen should not be permitted to have a profile on social networking sites because they don’t have the capability to make proper reasonable decisions.

While using level of coverage that teenagers are facing today by simply joining the social networking craze, they often forget the dangers of social network such as stalkers and pedophiles, who might use the sites being a major tool of the trade. Said dangers can befriend naive young adults and attract them in to dangerous circumstances. For example , Raymond Wang a new friend being stalked by simply an unknown person through one of the social networking sites. This stalker obtained private information about her by way of Facebook, and it reached the point where the stalker was sending her threatening or perverted characters to her genuine mailbox outlining what he would do to her. “This has really affected her a lot because now she is scared various other stalkers might do the same and she doesnt desire that to take place or have anything happen to her.  (Wang 19) Although users get the option to generate one’s profile private, there may be still the looming danger that stalkers are able to accumulate enough information about the person’s location.

Another similar occurrence happened to Regina Chau, a member of any social networking site catered to the raver way of living, Plurlife. When she 1st joined with her offline friends she loved everything regarding the SNS, but “where most of the people you accept to your friends list would probably become strangers.  (Chau 18) she experienced befriended a person the lady did not understand offline and one these kinds of “friends got a little too friendly with her, “he will keep requesting over and over basically wanted to meet up with him with the next event.
